Dear all, in order to be understood by our hosts along the way, I’ll switch to English. Today was again an amazing day…We are hosted as kings at the Institutul National de Boli Infectioase Prof. Dr. Mateis Bals, we are feeling at home. A special thank to Prof Anca Draganescu, medical director and Assist. Univ. Dr. Adrian Gabriel Marinescu, manager of the Institute for their incredible welcome. In the morning we have visited the hospital then we had the conference at noon with a full auditorium and attendance of young trainees which is highly motivating. In the afternoon we had the privilege to get a private visit of the Palace of the Parlement, designed during Communist times as the People’s House. We ended our day with our hosts in an outstanding traditional Romanian restaurant Caru’ cu bere ,🙂

Sorry wrong way…😂

Ploiesti, petrochemical city

Yesterday we planned to go from Bucharest to Slanic (114 km) but we could not make it (3 punctures, tunnels under water and bridges that disappeared) so we ended, after 94 km, in Ploiesti in a guesthouse. This morning we left the bicycles at the guesthouse to visit the sait mine of Slanic, thanks to Juliun, the son of the guesthouse’s owner. This afternoon we’ll head to Buzau (72 km). Juliun has shown us the not yet famous Green Mountains nearby Slanic (Zeolitization: The green color is caused by chemical changes known as zeolitization. During this process, volcanic glass in the tuff is replaced by zeolites—minerals that often exhibit a green color). Let’s go Njilabo 😀
